I’m Saatwik Chatkara, currently pursuing a dual degree in Engineering Physics with an integrated Master’s program in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Solid-State Physics at IIST, Trivandrum.
With a solid foundation in theoretical and computational physics and over three years of coding experience, my interests lie in quantum algorithms, scientific simulations, and research-oriented software development. I am the founder and student coordinator of the Quantum Technology Club at IIST, where I actively work to promote awareness and foster interdisciplinary collaboration in quantum science—especially its integration with space technologies. I have also contributed to several technical and outreach initiatives aimed at advancing science education and public engagement.

The workshop was also part of a MeitY program by the Government of India. It was led by Professor Shashi Ranjan Kumar and Professor Hemendra Arya, who provided me with a unique perspective on how simulations are applied in real-life scenarios. Since I was eager to learn more about simulations, I signed up for the workshop without hesitation, and it turned out to be incredibly valuable! :)
